This power panner is similar in operation to the MP-101 but uses both a wireless infra red remote plus a wired remote for choice of control

In practice we have found the effective operational range for the Infra Red operation is as follows and may differ due to different ambient lighting conditions. Operation in direct sunlight will cause problems with infra red. (Note the included documentation may describe extended range but the following ranges are more realistic):

a. Around 20’ pointing the remote around 30º from the top of the sensor (remote is pointing downwards to the top of the panner)

b. Around 8’ pointing the remote around 30º from themiddle of the sensor (remote is pointing towards the middle of the panner switches end)

c. Around 4’ pointing the remote around 30º from the bottom of the sensor (remote is pointing upwards to the bottom of the panner)

d. Around 2.5’ pointing the remote around 75º from the bottom of the sensor (remote is pointing upwards to the bottom of the panner)

It is possible to extend the infra red operation with infra red extenders available from other stores

The 1m wired remote can be extended to over 60’ with the optional 3m extension cables available separately
