MP-202 Power Panner Infa Red Remote Control Description & Technical Specification
This power panner is similar in operation to
the MP-101 but uses a wireless infra red remote controller
instead of wired.

In practice we have found the effective operational range is
as follows and may differ due to different ambient lighting
conditions: (Note the manual may describe extended range but
the following ranges are more realistic):
Around 20’ pointing the remote around 30º from
the top of the sensor (remote is pointing downwards to
the top of the panner)
Around 8’ pointing the remote around 30º from
themiddle of the sensor (remote is pointing
towards the middle of the panner switches end)
Around 4’ pointing the remote around 30º from the
bottom of the sensor (remote is pointing upwards to
the bottom of the panner)
Around 2.5’ pointing the remote around 75º from
the bottom of the sensor (remote is pointing upwards
to the bottom of the panner)

Exceptionally useful for portrait photography as the
camera can be moved to a suitable position rather than the
person moving to fit the scene - but it can be used for
any other application
Mounts between tripod and camera. It has standard tripod
screw fixing points above and below the unit so virtually
any camera can be attached easily on top and the panner
itself can be attached on a fixed bracket or a tripod
Operated by an infra red remote control cord (included)
Remotely pan and tilt with ultra smoothness – far more
accurate than by hand
