Product Description
The Gigtube wireless is the latest device that gives you live view display and remote control of your camera
from a distance, using the latest 2.4G signal transfer technology. The
3.5" bright color LCD protected by a screen hood, displays great quality
pictures even under harsh sunlight conditions.
We have selected Gigtube II to be used with
the MDRP360 to solve one particular problem. That is to operate the movie mode
on certain model DSLR cameras at distance which has, up to now, been previously
unavailable.
The previous difficulty has been that the
normal shutter button does not operate start/stop movie recording as it only
takes stills. Start/Stop movie recording is operated by a separate button and
this mode can only be activated remotely via the infrared port.
Gigtube II includes remote infrared control
and then sends the wireless signal via RF through its transmitter to achieve
remote control via long distances.
Gigtube II can operate the shutter or movie
mode but not both at the same time. It is possible to still activate the
shutter by connecting the camera to the MDRP360 and control via the MDRP360
remote. Be aware though that remote infrared control settings may have a timer delay
on some cameras so that when the shutter is pressed for stills, when your
camera is set to movie mode, you may have a delay of up to 2 seconds or more before
shutter release.
Gigtube II has distinct advantages with sun
hood, easy to use operation, lasting quality build, tripod mount amongst other
unique features.
