The majority of our systems are used in access control and time and attendance. We are authorised dealers for Suprema biometric products which most are listed here. However, due to the wide scope where biometrics can be used, we have other identification systems available so please let us know what your needs are and we will inform you what solutions we offer. These can be from single door right through to international border control setups.

One main point overlooked when considering these types of systems is whether you want manned or unmanned stations, or a mixture of both. With unmanned, the secure point is usually unattended by security personnel and so the access point takes the form of an electronically controlled door, turnstile, gate or any other physical electronic entry/exit point. With manned stations, an operator validates the staff or visitor by checking their biometric usually on a PC where the system will inform the operator of their identity. The operator then makes the human decision to allow or deny access.

One other point we would like to mention here is that the cost of biometrics has reduced considerably over the last few years. The reasons for this are that the systems have evolved out of their expensive resource intensive development stages, products have become more accepted in the mainstream and many products are available ‘off the shelve’. However, there is a proviso in that some inexpensive products have become available and although they have their place in some areas, without good software, they have very limited usage and cancel out all the advantages of why the systems might be used in the first place. In reality, this means you need management software to control the enrolment, user database functionality, visibility, and very importantly – the reporting functions. All our systems are supplied with very powerful but easy to use software.
